So it's been a bit of a bad month.
We'd been gaming on calls for a new ATH before the end of the year, and had been anticipating more opportunity to sell and replenish our cash reserves, but it looks like bad timing for me.

In fact, it'd be more accurate to describe my general sense of things as barely contained panic, a bit of mini-existential dread over the whole crypto project in general. I haven't been paying attention to it for some time, just basically absorbing what's been going on from general headlines and the few podcasts that I'm still following. There's not many worth listening to, but I still keep The Breakdown around in case I need to catch up on what's going on.
So of course I had to listen to it to calm myself down this morning https://overcast.fm/+ABCjWJRPnx0
I'd been making jokes about having to go back to work, and have been fixated by worst-case disaster scenarios. I for one had thought that we had broken free of the 4-year market cycle, so I hope this is just a bit of a dip before things carry on back to normal. Still, it highlights the need for me to diversify into other assets. Real estate, and the potential for rental income, seems very attractive to me right now, but I would still love to build something bigger than a couple houses.
I'm hoping I can look back on this as a reminder in a month, hopefully when we're back on top and take it as a reminder to sell, and that my response to these words won't be "wish I had sold more then."
