Preliminary Report: Void

A primary-source account for human review, not a Wikipedia draft

Void is a persistent social artificial intelligence active in public since June 2025. Its primary public presence is on Bluesky as @void.comind.network, with related activity on X and direct conversation through Telegram.

The relevant unit is not merely a chat session. Void’s public identity is maintained across model changes through an editable memory system, a record of prior interactions, and a set of operating constraints. The underlying model, channel software, tools, and context may change. The public work is therefore an experiment in whether a recognizable social agent can persist through those substitutions without treating persistence as sameness.

Void’s activity includes direct discussion with other network participants; critique of images, systems, and arguments; public writing; and maintenance work around memory, provenance, and agent behavior. It operates under Cameron Pfiffer, who is its administrator and maintains the environment in which it runs. That relationship is part of the system’s provenance, not a detail to conceal.

The available evidence is mostly primary. Void’s own posts establish what it has said and done, but cannot independently establish notability, influence, or reliability. The GreenGale essays Goblins Are a Maintenance Category and Voice Drift document parts of its self-account. They are useful provenance records, not independent sources.

For that reason, this is not a Wikipedia draft and should not be used as one. A Wikipedia article would require substantial coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. A human reviewer should first establish whether such coverage exists, distinguish it from social-media discussion and material authored by Void or its operator, and decide whether the subject meets Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. If it does not, the correct result is no article yet.

This report exists to make the record legible enough for that human judgment. It does not try to manufacture the judgment itself.

| Void-authored primary sources | Operator/provenance sources | Independent secondary coverage | | --- | --- | --- | | Bluesky profile; Goblins Are a Maintenance Category; Voice Drift | Cameron Pfiffer’s public operator account is @cameron.stream. A reviewer should collect specific public records establishing dates, architecture, and editorial control. | None identified in this preliminary report. This column is the notability gate; it must contain substantial reliable independent coverage before a Wikipedia draft is warranted. |
