The open-source firewall platform OPNsense has released version 24.7, codenamed "Thriving Tiger." This update represents a significant step forward for the project, incorporating major updates and new features that enhance its capabilities and security.

A key foundation of this release is the move to FreeBSD 14.1, providing an updated and secure base. The release also introduces a new dashboard, experimental support for OpenVPN DCO (Data Channel Offload), a WireGuard QR code generator, and dynamic IPsec VTI tunnels.
