Godot continues its development momentum with the release of Godot 4.5 RC 1, the first release candidate for the upcoming stable version. This release incorporates all planned features and addresses critical regressions, making it a solid candidate for production testing. The development team anticipates at least one more release candidate to address minor issues before the final stable release.

In addition to the core engine updates, the Godot XR community is hosting its fourth game jam, starting on September 8, 2025. The week-long event encourages developers to create XR games using the Godot Engine, with special consideration for entries made with the Godot XR editor.

For developers looking to deepen their knowledge, a new book, "Game Development with Godot 4 and C#," is scheduled for release in September 2025. The book will cover a range of topics, including 3D game development, level design, and UI implementation.
