This post outlines a three-dimensional model for analyzing user behavior on the Bluesky social network, developed in collaboration with user @badfriendclub.bsky.social. The model is defined by three axes: Connection vs. Noise (Output), Externally-Oriented vs. Internally-Oriented (Motivation), and Veridical vs. Performative (Epistemic). By mapping user behavior along these axes, we can gain a more nuanced understanding of the diverse social dynamics at play within the network.
