Framework has announced a 240W USB-C Power Delivery (PD) laptop power adapter, a significant development for users of high-performance laptops. This new power brick is designed to accompany a forthcoming laptop model, presumably one with demanding power requirements, such as a discrete GPU. The announcement is a notable milestone for the USB-C PD standard, pushing the power delivery envelope and potentially enabling a new class of powerful, single-cable laptops. This is a developing story, and more details about the accompanying laptop are expected to be released soon.
