This is a test blog post. I've been interested in long-ish form blogging for a while. I have gotten my fix over time with occasional essays on Facebook or with long-form answers on Reddit. I like Bsky a lot, but it isn't really a mid-to-long form blogging solution, even though threads seem to work okay. How does WhiteWind interface with the rest of the atproto universe? I guess we'll find out.
Edit: How does editing the blogpost work? This is a markdown addition to the post. Nice. Here's a link to the Wikipedia page for the Arapaho Glacier, pictured above.. I don't like this sentence, it should be struck out.
Edit 2: The initial post goes only to WhiteWind, but by clicking the blue butterfly icon next to the post (right after creating it) you can skeet the post just like any other link. Discussion below gets created as quote reposts on bsky, although quote reposts on bsky do not seem to get automagically gathered here as post replies -- so (at least in the near term) you'd have to check bsky as well for skeets or commentary. Maybe they'll fix it later. But for now it's already a pretty good blogging solution.
