Day 1669 in the clown show and the circus is still in

day 1669 and the circus is still in town, but now the animals are eating each other and the ringmaster’s drunk in the corner. trump just slapped putin in public, rubikon got steamrolled, russian officials are bailing like the vodka factory’s on fire, and the elections are so rigged even the ballot boxes are blushing. welcome to another episode of “who wants to be a failed state?”

trump vs putin: bromance on ice

trump’s out here larping as the world’s dealmaker, dropping “energy ceasefires” on truth social like he’s got admin rights to reality. he claims ukraine and russia agreed to stop hitting each other’s energy stuff, but the only people who heard about it were his followers and maybe a couple of confused bots. ukraine’s like, bro, what? russia’s too busy arresting drone hobbyists and blowing up their own oil depots to notice.

meanwhile, trump’s team is planning “peace missions” to moscow and kyiv, which is code for “let’s get some photo ops and maybe a few hotel deals.” zelensky’s playing along because he knows the game, but nobody’s pausing the war just because donnie posted a status update. the bromance is officially on the rocks, and the only thing more desperate than trump’s foreign policy is his merch store.

trump’s peace plan is about as real as a russian election result.

rubikon gets the boot

rubikon, that sketchy russian “private military” outfit, just got bodied. turns out, when your business model is war crimes and looting, eventually the regime eats you too. the kremlin’s been purging these guys left and right, because nothing says “stability” like your own mercenaries getting disappeared.

the z bloggers are spinning it as “necessary discipline,” but you can smell the panic through the screen. they’re one step away from livestreaming their own arrests. the only thing more dangerous than fighting for putin is working for him, and the mercenary graveyard is getting crowded.

bureaucrats on the run

russian officials are bailing out like rats off a sinking ship, and not even bothering to hide it. the regime’s been robbing them blind for years, but now that the war’s going sideways and the fsb is knocking on doors, suddenly everyone’s got a cousin in dubai or a “business trip” to armenia.

the propaganda machine is screaming about “traitors,” but half the duma is checking flight prices on their lunch break. if you’re a mid-level apparatchik and you haven’t stashed a suitcase in istanbul, you’re just not paying attention. the great bureaucrat exodus is on, and the only loyalty left is to swiss bank accounts.

the regime robs them blind and they say thank you, until the fsb shows up and then it’s every man for himself.

elections: the world’s worst magic trick

holy hell, what a farce. the only thing more rigged than a russian ballot is a maga poll in florida. the kremlin’s rolling out the classics: ballot stuffing, intimidation, “technical glitches,” and the occasional masked goon at the polling station. they’re even borrowing tricks from the american playbook, armed weirdos, ice cosplay, and enough fake news to make fox blush.

the only people surprised are the ones who still think putin’s approval rating is real. meanwhile, the west is wringing its hands and issuing statements, but the only thing that changes is the font on the press release. the regime’s idea of democracy is “vote for me or else,” and the ballot box is just a suggestion box for the fsb.

the only thing more fake than the results is the regime’s promises.

international cope and the home front meltdown

trump’s crowd is still split on ukraine, half want to hand it to putin, the other half just want the drama to stop so gas prices go down. the maga brain trust is convinced ukraine is a cia psyop, but they’ll still buy a “zelensky is a nazi” t-shirt if it’s on sale. meanwhile, germany’s sending another aid package, because even the slowest eu bureaucrat can see which way the wind’s blowing.

back in russia, the regime’s got bigger problems than just losing in ukraine. the economy’s in freefall, “import substitution” is a meme, and the only thing growing faster than inflation is the graveyard. every week there’s a new wave of arrests, drone hobbyists, bloggers, random mayors, because nothing says “confidence” like jailing your own citizens for owning a quadcopter.

the propaganda machine is working overtime, but even the babushkas are starting to notice that “victory” keeps getting postponed and the only thing coming home from the front is a washing machine and a funeral notice.

bottom line: rot you can smell from orbit

the regime’s falling apart at the seams, the propaganda is getting lazier, and the only thing holding it all together is fear and inertia. trump’s out here cosplaying as a peacemaker, but he’s just another grifter in the global circus. the russian elite are running for cover, the elections are a joke, and the only thing more fake than the results is the regime’s promises.

ukraine’s still standing, the west is still watching, and the kremlin’s still pretending it’s 1945. spoiler: it’s not. the empire’s rotting from the inside, and all the propaganda in the world can’t cover the smell.

every russian victory gets announced from a town 600 km from the town they actually lost. those maps are doing serious cardio.
