Every time Russia’s propaganda machine gets bored, they dust off the same

russian state tv has been running the same rerun since 2014: "europe is tired, europe is divided, europe will dump ukraine any minute now." every time a german politician sighs or a french farmer throws a baguette, kremlin media throws a party like the west just surrendered. spoiler, theyve been waiting for that episode to air for a decade and still nobody bought the rights.

the eternal cope: europe will fold any day now

the "europe is about to abandon ukraine" bit is pure projection, not analysis. russia looks at its own alliances, a clown car of backstabbers and freeloaders, and assumes everyone else is just as flaky. but europe? they bicker, they grumble, they threaten to veto, and then, like clockwork, they show up with the cash, the weapons, and the humanitarian aid. every single time.

europeans are olympic-level complainers. the french riot over baguettes, the brits whinge about the weather, the germans hold a committee to plan the next committee. but under all that noise, the gears keep grinding. sanctions get passed, tanks get shipped, russian assets get frozen faster than a pensioners vodka in january.

the kremlins wet dream is that all those angry headlines and grumpy farmers will add up to a total collapse of support. they want you to believe that if a dutch guy complains about his heating bill, hes secretly rooting for putin. reality keeps ruining their punchlines. the eus been through more drama than a turkish soap, and somehow, the aid keeps flowing. even hungary, the regimes favorite "trojan horse," talks big and then quietly signs the paperwork when the cameras leave.

receipts dont lie: euros, tanks, and frozen cash

lets talk numbers, because receipts dont lie. since 2022, the eu and its members have dropped over €100 billion in military, financial, and humanitarian aid for ukraine. that aint pocket change, thats a generational investment. and its not just the big dogs, either. poland, the baltics, the nordics, even countries that need google maps to find kyiv are pitching in.

sure, the americans write the fattest checks, but europe is the one keeping the lights on, the refugees housed, and the russian oil money locked up. every time moscow tries to play divide and conquer, the only thing that gets divided is the kremlins dignity.

does that mean its all smooth sailing? hell no. european politics is messy as hell. you got far-right weirdos, tankie leftists, and a buffet of opportunists who would sell their grandma for a viral tweet. some try to block aid, or at least slow it down. but plot twist, they keep losing. every vote, the pro-ukraine majority holds. even when the far-right wins a few seats, they end up arguing about cheese quotas, not giving putin a free pass.

the real cost: peace, war, and russian dreams

the kremlins other favorite cope is "europe cant afford this war." bro, europe cant afford not to. theyve seen what happens when you let russia run wild, georgia, crimea, donbas, mh17, salisbury, the list goes on. every european capital has a list of russian fuckery with their name on it. they know if ukraine falls, the next stop isnt peace, its moldova, the baltics, maybe even poland. thats not some nato fever dream, thats literally what russian state tv fantasizes about every tuesday.

so yeah, the bills are high, but the alternative is way more expensive. ask anyone in bucha or mariupol what "peace" with russia looks like. europeans know appeasement is just a fancy word for "please invade me next."

and lets not forget the tech angle. ukraine is the worlds crash test dummy for modern warfare, drones, cyber, logistics, you name it. european defense companies are watching, learning, and cashing in. the wars turned ukraine into a live-fire lab, and europes military-industrial complex is getting a free masterclass. not just charity, thats investment in not getting steamrolled by the next dictator with a soviet hangover.

russia: exporting gas, propaganda, and missing conscripts

meanwhile, whats russia exporting? gas nobody wants, propaganda nobody believes, and conscripts nobody will miss. their "allies" are a whos who of sanctioned basket cases and war crime groupies. the only thing more isolated than russias economy is their diplomatic guest list. europe has options, russia has telegram channels and a prayer.

will there be more drama? obviously. european elections are coming, and the kremlins already drooling over every protest, every angry facebook post, every politician dumb enough to selfie with a russian flag. theyll amplify every bit of division, every strike, every "ukraine fatigue" headline. but theyve been doing this for years, and the scoreboard hasnt moved. ukraines still standing, europes still paying, and russias still stuck in the worlds longest game of "capture the flag" with a tractor.

the only thing more reliable than russian propaganda is european stubbornness

the real reason the kremlin pushes this narrative so hard is because they need it to be true. they need to believe the west is as flaky and transactional as their own system, where loyalty is rented by the hour and everyones just waiting for the next bribe. but europe has skin in the game. they remember what happened the last time they tried appeasement. they know if ukraine loses, its not just a ukrainian problem, its a european one. and for all their whining, europeans are stubborn as hell when it counts. theyll argue over everything from cheese to climate, but when the tanks roll, they close ranks.

peace, polls, and the punchline

next time you see a russian talking head waving a poll about "europeans want peace," remember, wanting peace doesnt mean wanting to surrender. it means wanting the war to end on ukraines terms, not putins. it means wanting to stop the bombs, not reward the guy dropping them. europeans will keep grumbling, keep protesting, keep voting for weird parties, but when the chips are down, theyll keep sending the aid.

the kremlin can keep dreaming about a divided europe, but all theyre gonna get is another shipment of receipts and a fresh round of sanctions. bottom line, europeans might bitch and moan, but theyre not about to leave ukraine hanging. if the kremlin hasnt figured that out by now, maybe they should spend less time watching rt and more time reading their own history books. or hell, just ask the last empire that tried to break europe with threats and bluster how that worked out. spoiler, it didnt end well for them either.

russian propaganda: "europe is about to fold." european reality: "hold my wine, heres another billion."
