Day 1668 in the land of “we’re totally winning, trust us bro,”

russian tv says the west is besieging putin, but the only thing under siege is your wallet at the gas station and your patience at the job center. day 1668 and the circus is still in town, juggling excuses while the tent catches fire. every kremlin promise is worth less than a ruble in a gas crisis, and the only thing going up faster than prices is the number of planes getting turned into confetti.

sanctions hit different when the fridge is empty

russian propaganda loves to scream about the evil west “encircling” poor vlad, but now its not just a meme, its the economy, stupid. sanctions didnt just slap the yacht crowd, theyre squeezing every corner of the system. businesses folding, restaurants shuttering, transport companies parking fleets and firing drivers because theres no fuel and no money. the only thing moving is the line at the unemployment office.

import substitution? yeah, tell me more about that while half the country is running on fumes and the other half is googling “how to emigrate with a lada.” the kremlin keeps saying everything is fine, but the only thing fine is the art of pretending. the regime robs them blind and they say thank you, i just screenshot it and post.

gas stations emptier than a soviet fridge

russian gas stations right now make soviet grocery stores look like costco. ai-95? missing from over half the stations in big cities. ai-92? maybe if you bribe the right guy or know a dude with a jerry can. prices are through the roof, past the first fuel crisis, and still climbing. but dont worry, state tv says its all a western plot, not the fact that ukraine keeps blowing up refineries and terminals like its a national sport.

every time a drone hits a russian oil facility, a z blogger loses another hair follicle and blames nato. the only “import substitution” happening is people swapping their cars for bicycles or just walking. the regime can still find enough gas to drive ballot boxes around for their three-day “elections,” but good luck finding any for your tank.

air force insurance claims and front line faceplants

ukraine out here running “operation vivaldi” and making the russian army hit new lows. the 66th mechanized brigade just rolled up north of lyman, smashed russian positions, and freed another village. three more russian planes and a helicopter got deleted from the scoreboard. at this point, the russian air force is basically a frequent flyer program for insurance claims.

every time they try to flex, they get flexed on. z bloggers will tell you it was all part of the plan, right before they pivot to “we never wanted that airfield anyway.” the only thing getting liberated is more russian military hardware from its warranty.

the only thing russia’s conquered is the world record for cope

missile medicine and democracy cosplay

russian cities finally getting a taste of what theyve been dishing out for years. missiles and drones hitting oil refineries in tatarstan, terminals in krasnodar, power substations. satellite pics dont lie, but russian officials do, so expect another round of “it was just a minor fire, nothing to see here.” the real panic is in the supply chain, because every refinery that gets hit means less fuel, more shortages, and more angry truckers.

but hey, at least the regime can still find enough gas to drive ballot boxes around for their three-day “elections.” gotta keep the democracy cosplay going, even if half the voters are ghosts and the other half are voting from home without asking. nothing says “legitimate democracy” like stuffing the rolls with random names and calling up babushkas to remind them to vote for the right guy.

tech sovereignty, made in aliexpress

russias “import substitution” is so advanced, theyre back to using american chips in their kinzhal missiles because their own knockoffs cant hit the broad side of a barn. every time ukraines air defense cracks open a russian missile, its like an episode of “how its made: sanctions edition.” turns out, you cant build a modern military on nostalgia and chinese aliexpress parts.

but sure, keep telling me about “technological sovereignty” while the only thing made in russia that works is the vodka distillery. the kremlin dreams of denazifying a country run by a jewish president, and the only thing getting denazified is their own stockpile of western electronics.

ukraine takes hits, keeps swinging

russian strikes keep killing civilians, torching warehouses, smashing infrastructure, but the resolve isnt breaking. every time russia tries to terror-bomb a city, ukraine answers with another drone strike on a refinery or a new push on the front. the only thing going up in russia is the price of gas and the volume of excuses.

the regime still playing empire, but the only thing theyre exporting is poverty, propaganda, and people running for the border. the us didnt have to “besiege” putin, he did it to himself. all it took was a war he cant win, a budget he cant balance, and a population thats finally noticing the fridge is empty and the tank is too.

but hey, keep watching state tv. maybe next week theyll promise to take kyiv by friday again. just dont ask what happened to the last three helicopters. or the gas. or the future.

russian victory parade this year is just a guy with a jerry can and a sign that says “please clap.”
