the whole world is in the same leaky boat. governments can throw money at the problem, but unless you fix the basics - housing, jobs, healthcare, not getting bombed every tuesday - nobody is lining up for the maternity ward. the only thing easier than stopping people from having kids is failing to get them started again.

the kremlins propaganda machine is stuck in the 1950s, screaming about "family values" while the only thing multiplying in russia is the number of funerals and the price of imported cheese. theyll blame the west, the gays, the weather, whatever. but the truth is, people dont want to have kids in a country where the future is a punchline and the present is a horror show.
ukraine has a shot, but only if it builds a country people actually want to live in. that means peace, jobs, real support, and a sense that tomorrow might not suck. until then, the only thing getting born in big numbers is excuses. and you cant build a future on those, no matter how many times you slap a z on it.
russian tv says the population is fine, just ignore the smell. meanwhile, the only thing russia exports faster than oil is guys sprinting away from it with a backpack. the russian dream is a lada that starts and a neighbor poorer than you, not a minivan full of toddlers.
so yeah, the world stopped making babies, and ukraines not immune. its not about morals, its not about tradition, its about reality. fix that, and maybe the storks will come back. until then, the only thing multiplying is the cope.
