Putin’s “grand offensive” is basically a speedrun for how fast you can

putins grand offensive is just a speedrun for how fast you can turn a battalion into a cemetery. every week the kremlin promises some new mega cauldron, 50 kilometers wide, like theyre cooking up a michelin-starred disaster. ukraine just rips the claws off, leaves the orcs gnawing on mud, and the only thing getting encircled is another batch of conscripts hopes and dreams. z bloggers hype up fog season like its a cheat code, but all it does is hide the fact that russias last tanks are coughing up rust and the only thing advancing is the expiration date on their ammo.

body count olympics

lets talk numbers, because the regime sure wont. russian losses are hitting records so fast, even the ministry of defense cant photoshop the casualty lists quick enough. every strategic push is just a new way to stack bodies for a few meters of churned-up dirt. the ISW says the tempo picked up a bit in august, but lets be real, thats like saying a snail started jogging.

the big spring-summer offensive was supposed to break ukrainian lines wide open. instead, it broke the russian armys back and left them squatting in the same shell holes, calling it consolidation. translation: they moved in, got smacked, and now theyre stuck.

the myth of endless reserves

the real comedy is the kremlin acting like theyve got endless reserves. spoiler: they dont. the warehouses are down to a few hundred rotten tanks, half of which probably need a priest more than a mechanic. theres no magic train from uralvagonzavod coming to save the day.

whats left is a bunch of soviet scrap and a fresh batch of volunteers who signed up for a paycheck and got a body bag instead. the fog might cover up the retreat, but it wont hide the smell.

all this for what

and heres the punchline: all this blood and metal for what? a few burned-out villages, a propaganda map colored in with crayons, and another speech about inevitable victory while the front line barely budges. the only thing putins really advancing is the minus sign in front of his armys numbers.

every last chance offensive is just a new way to lose more men for less ground. the regime calls it heroism, but the only thing heroic is how fast they can recycle excuses.

the only thing getting encircled is another batch of conscripts hopes and dreams

negative territory

so yeah, putins on the offensive, straight into negative territory. the summer was a disaster, the falls shaping up worse, and the only thing going up is the casualty count. but hey, at least the z bloggers have something to post about between funerals.

russian war planning is just a group project where everyone dies and the teacher still gives you an F.
