The emperor’s got no clothes, and the only ones pretending otherwise are

putin sells “stability” like it’s a luxury brand, but the only ones buying are the guys who’d lose their dacha if they called out the obvious. the whole export package now is just the illusion that he’s got ruzzia on lock, not oil, not gas, just vibes and a lot of airbrushed maps. “everyone’s behind the war,” “total control,” all that jazz, but back home the cracks are so wide even kremlin wallpaper can’t cover the draft.

fear and inertia: the real glue

the regime’s held together by fear and inertia, not love or loyalty. fsb goons think if you keep everyone in the dark and scare the ones who peek, you can run the place forever. technocrats are sweating bullets because they know you can’t just unplug the internet and expect people to keep eating shit with a smile. nobody wants to live in a north korea cosplay, especially when their own kids are texting from europe about how cringe it all looks.

the fsb wants silence, the technocrats want a future, and both sides know the whole thing’s one bad day from falling apart. the only thing more stable than putin’s regime is a lada on a cobblestone road.

russian tech: cosplay and cope

russian “domestic” ai is just chinese hardware with a russian sticker slapped on, and everyone knows it. no chips, no talent, no future. sberbank’s gref is out here begging beijing for scraps while fsb couldn’t care less if the whole country runs on abacuses, as long as the lights stay on in their torture basements. digital “sovereignty” is about as real as their election results.

the regime’s tech dreams are a meme, and the only thing they’re hacking is their own credibility.

election season: panic at the duma

duma vote’s coming up and putin’s sweating like a lada in july. every week the situation gets worse, the war’s a meat grinder, the budget’s a black hole, and the only plan is “mobilize more bodies and hope nobody notices the smell.” kremlin’s nervous because the old tricks aren’t working. you can’t fake enthusiasm forever, especially when the only thing growing is the number of widows and the price of chinese microwaves.

the regime’s running out of tricks, and even the loyalists are getting tired of clapping for the same old circus.

kremlin chaos: everyone for themselves

inside the kremlin it’s open season, fsb vs technocrats, everyone leaking, everyone plotting, everyone waiting to see who gets thrown under the bus next. the myth of total control is dead, but nobody wants to be the first to say it. the emperor’s naked, and the only thing keeping the circus going is that nobody wants to be the first clown to laugh.

putin’s not running the show anymore, he’s just trying to keep the lights on while the walls close in.

bottom line, the only thing more fragile than his grip is the wifi in a russian village. the regime’s out of ideas, out of tech, and almost out of time. all that’s left is the performance, and even the audience is starting to boo.

russian statecraft is just a guy in a bathrobe yelling “i’m still in charge” while the house burns down and the neighbors steal the fence.
