day 1669 and the russian circus is still running, but the clowns are sweating through the greasepaint. trump just lobbed a curveball at putin nobody in the kremlin saw coming, and suddenly the “second army of the world” is eyeing the fire exits. the rubicon crew got steamrolled, officials are packing for switzerland, and the elections are so rigged even the ballot boxes are embarrassed. welcome to another episode of “how not to run a country,” starring the usual suspects and a few new faces.

trump’s wild ride and kremlin whiplash

trump’s been ping-ponging all over the ukraine war, one day promising more interceptors than russia has working tanks, next day babbling about some “energy truce” nobody signed. classic trump, announce a deal, reality be damned, then blast it on truth social like it’s the ten commandments. but here’s the kicker: this time, instead of tossing putin a lifeline, he’s actually making moves that sting.

the us is turning up the heat, investigations popping off, subpoenas flying, and the maga crowd is split between “ukraine is toast” and “wait, why are we still losing tankers in crimea?” even kremlin tv can’t keep the story straight. one minute trump’s their golden boy, next he’s handing ukraine the keys to the patriot factory. the cope is so thick you could bottle it and sell it as russian cologne.

the only thing more unstable than russian propaganda is the kremlin’s faith in their own talking points.

rubicon gets steamrolled, officials hit the eject

meanwhile, back in moscow, the rubicon gang — those shadowy fixers laundering war crimes and running sanctions evasion — just got flattened. turns out, when you’re juggling that much dirty money, eventually someone notices. the regime’s answer? arrest a couple scapegoats, blame “foreign interference,” and pretend it’s all a western plot. never mind half the crew is already on a beach somewhere, sipping cocktails and checking their swiss accounts.

the real panic is inside the ministries, where the only thing moving faster than the paper shredders is the line for exit visas. russian officials are bailing out like rats off a sinking lada. the dream was always to get rich and get out, and now the only thing left in the kremlin is the cleaning crew and a pile of empty vodka bottles.

elections so fake even the ballot boxes are blushing

and then there’s the elections. or whatever you call it when the winner is picked before the first vote is cast. this year’s theme: “vote early, vote often, or don’t bother, we already filled in your ballot.” the regime’s idea of democracy is armed goons at polling stations, ice agents stirring up chaos, and a postal system that loses ballots faster than the russian army loses drones.

the only thing uglier than the ballot stuffing is the propaganda blitz trying to sell it as “the will of the people.” even the most hardcore z bloggers can’t meme this into legitimacy. they’re stuck recycling the same tired lines about “external threats” and “national unity,” while everyone with a brain is livestreaming the fraud on their phones. the only real suspense is how many officials make it to the airport before the next round of purges.

background noise: burning oil, dead generals, and a dying economy

dont forget the background noise: record drone arrests, oil depots burning in crimea, and a russian general dropping dead every other week. the front line keeps moving the wrong way for moscow, and every time they promise to take a city by friday, they’re losing another cornfield by monday. the propaganda machine is running on fumes, cranking out stories about secret truces and “catastrophic” ukrainian losses, while the real catastrophe is the russian economy circling the drain.

import substitution is a joke, “made in russia” is a warning label, and the only thing the regime exports reliably is excuses. the only thing more predictable than russian threats is their follow-through: two dead conscripts, a stolen washing machine, and a fresh batch of excuses.

kremlin cope: nuclear threats, fake truces, and the great escape

the kremlin still thinks it can bluff its way out. nuclear blackmail, fake referendums, “energy truces” nobody agreed to — pick your flavor of cope. but the world’s not buying it, and neither are the russians with enough cash to get out. the regime robs them blind, launders the loot, and calls it patriotism. meanwhile, ukraine’s tech sector is booming, the brain drain out of russia is turning into a stampede, and every new round of sanctions just makes the grift harder to hide.

so yeah, day 1669 and the only thing left for the regime is to crank up the propaganda and hope nobody notices the smell. spoiler: we notice.

russian victory parade: two dead conscripts, a stolen washing machine, and a suitcase full of excuses. same as last week, same as next week.
